Parking
There is ample parking available at Kaltenberg Castle!
There are 4,500 parking spaces available for cars. The route to the parking lots is well signposted. You will be greeted by our friendly parking attendants, who will direct you to the nearest available space.
There is a fee of EUR 5.00 for cars. Please have this ready when you enter.
The parking fee for motorhomes is EUR 10.00.
The parking fee for vehicles with trailers is EUR 15.00.
Public transportation
During the event, Kaltenberg is connected to public transportation via the special LVG 99 line.
Please note that this is aspecial servicethat is not operated by us and issubject to a charge. MVVticketsor the Deutschlandticketarenot accepted! The fare below must be paid in all cases. Tickets can be purchased on the bus.
Nearest train station: Geltendorf
Geltendorf station is just a few kilometers from Kaltenberg and offers connections to the S-Bahn and regional trains.

Special transport to the Kaltenberg Knight Tournament:
During the Kaltenberg Knight Tournament, a shuttle bus service will run every 15 minutes from Geltendorf train station (north bus stop) to Kaltenberg and back.
Please note the time of the last train.

Motorhomes / Campers
There is limited parking for motorhomes at Kaltenberg Castle!
You can stay overnight in the parking lot with a motorhome—but without an awning or screens. You can only use the footprint of your vehicle.
If you wish to set up a sleeping tent, please inform the attendants when you enter the parking lot. You will then be assigned a suitable parking space.
There are no sanitary facilities or electricity for motorhomes. The route to the parking lots is well signposted. You will be welcomed by our friendly parking attendants, who will direct you to the nearest available space.
The parking fee for motorhomes is EUR 10.00.

The ticket hotline can be reached at01806 -11 33 11. The cost of the call is 20 cents per call from a landline or a maximum of 60 cents per call from a mobile network. The telephone hotline is available at the following times: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. We are also available for longer before and during events.

Ticket system
The Kaltenberg Knight Tournament has a ticket system in which tickets are verified electronically at the entrance. This gives you the following options for obtaining tickets:
Print your ticket yourself:
When ordering via the online ticket system, you have the option of printing your ticket at home. It contains a unique electronic code that ensures that each ticket purchased is only valid for one admission.
Show your ticket on your smartphone:
Alternatively, you can also use your ticketdigitally on your smartphone. The ticket stored on your cell phone can bescanned directlyat the entranceusing the QR code. In this case, a printout is not necessary. Please ensure that your display is clearly legible and that the QR code is displayed in full.
Have your ticket sent to you:
You can also have your ticket sent to you. This ticket also contains a unique electronic code that ensures that each ticket purchased grants admission only once.
Children
Children under 4 years of age
Children under 4 years of age are admitted free of charge. If you have purchased a seat ticket for yourself in the arena, the child may accompany you but must sit on your lap. If you would like a separate seat for your child, you can of course purchase a child ticket.
Discount for children aged 4–14
Children aged between 4 and 14 receive a 15% discount in all categories (excluding Sunday family specials).
Sunday Family Special
Two adults plus at least one paying child receive a 15% discount on each ticket when purchasing a FAMILY TICKET.
The children's tournament
A highlight for children is the children's tournament, which takes place every Sunday after the tournament in the Kaltenberg Arena.
Note to parents:
We recommend that you do not bring infants and toddlers under the age of three to the arena. You know your child best: if they are a little fearful, it is better to postpone the knight tournament show until a later date, but there are also three-year-old fans of our Black Knight.
Group discount
Groups of 20 or more (in all categories except standing room and boxes) receive a 5% discount on all days except Gauklernacht. Only one discount per ticket is possible.

Severe disability
Discount for severely disabled persons (in all categories except box seats): 10% discount for 70 to 95% disability, 50% discount for 100% disability, 50% discount for a necessary accompanying person according to ID card, wheelchair users free of charge.
Advance sales can only be booked by telephone or email, with a copy of your ID sent by fax or email. There are no shipping costs. Only one discount per ticket is possible.

Smoking
Kaltenberg is an event with high spectator numbers and correspondingly adapted safety requirements.
Smoking is prohibited in the arena seating areas and in the box seats!
Smoking is permitted on the grounds and in the standing areas!
Dogs and other animals
Out of consideration for the welfare of the animals and our visitors, dogs and other animals are unfortunately not permitted on the event grounds.
Please also note that there are no facilities on site for looking after or accommodating dogs. Leaving dogs in vehicles is not appropriate for animals, especially in summer temperatures, and is therefore not permitted.
We therefore kindly ask you to refrain from bringing dogs with you and thank you for your understanding.
Weapons
Carrying weapons (even as props) is not permitted!
Kaltenberg is an event with high spectator numbers and correspondingly adapted safety requirements.
Carrying weapons or display weapons is therefore not permitted. Exceptions are medieval groups that are under contract with the
event management.
The following are not permitted (examples / incomplete list):
- Medieval cutlery (including awl)
- deer knife
- Leatherman, etc.
- Tools of all kinds
- Arrows with real points
- pyrotechnics
- pepper sprays
In case of uncertainty regarding the prohibition of items on the premises, the decision rests with our security personnel.
Umbrellas & Chairs

Of course, you can bring an umbrella or parasol and use it on the grounds, provided that it does not disturb other visitors.
Umbrellas are only prohibited in the arena, as an open umbrella completely blocks the view of the person behind you.

There is ample seating available on our spacious grounds. Please leave camping chairs, fishing stools, garden chairs,
, and similar items at home. If you are unsure about which items are prohibited on the grounds, the decision rests with our
security personnel.
Glass bottles/glass containers of all kinds
Unfortunately, due to the danger posed by broken glass on the event grounds, we cannot allow glass bottles or other glass objects.
Exception: Baby food in glass packaging.
Photos / Videos
Personal use
Photography and filmingfor private purposesis expressly permitted.
This also includes private posts on social media (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok),provided that they are not used for commercial or advertising purposes.
Commercial use
Commercial photography and filming are not permitted without prior written permission.
This applies in particular to:
- Advertising, marketing, and public relations
- Influencer collaborations and paid partnerships
- use by agencies, customers, or media outlets
- the sale or transfer of image material
Subsequent commercial useof recordings originally made for private purposes is also prohibited without the organizer's permission.
Accreditation & Influencers
The press, media, professional photographers, and influencers must obtain accreditation in advance from our press office.
Accredited photographers will be identified accordingly on site.
Controls & house rules
For reasons of security at our event, the organizer reserves the right to inspect any professional photography and film equipment brought onto the premises.
Security personnel are authorized to intervene in the event of violations and, if necessary, to exercise their domiciliary rights.

Please respect the personal rights of our performers and visitors.
The deliberate photographing or filming of other people—especially children—and the publication of such images is only permitted within the scope of the statutory provisions.
If you have any questions regarding photo, film, or influencer accreditation, please contact our press office in advance.
Drones and flying objects
Drones and similar flying devices are prohibited.
Please enjoy the medieval atmosphere and leave the aerial photography to us. In case of uncertainty regarding the prohibition of items on the premises, the decision rests with our security personnel.
Means of transportation
Our grounds are best explored on foot. The bumpy roads and hills are not suitable for kickboards, skateboards, hoverboards, rollerblades, and similar devices. Running and bicycles are also a danger to other guests and are therefore prohibited.
In case of uncertainty regarding the prohibition of items on the premises, the decision rests with our security personnel.
Handcarts and other transport carts of all kinds
Unfortunately, handcarts and transport carts of any kind are not permitted on the event grounds.
Strollers are of course permitted.
Bringing alcoholic beverages
Bringingalcoholic beveragesonto the event grounds isnot permitted.
Bagswill be checked at the entrance.
Anyone carrying alcoholic beverages willnotbeadmittedto the event grounds.
