At4:00 p.m., the grand knight tournament show begins in the arena: exciting, emotional, and thrillingly staged. Fast-paced rides, courageous duels, and a captivating story will captivate the whole family.
And then the arena belongs to the youngest visitors: duringthebigchildren's tournament, the little ones can prove themselves. With courage and enthusiasm, they face their trials – and are ceremoniously knighted at the end. After the arena show, the arena belongs to the youngest visitors: the bigchildren's tournamentgives the little ones a chance to prove themselves. Do I need cash?
In principle,you do not need cash, as most of our food stands acceptcard payments(credit and debit cards).
However, at the market, somecraft stalls—especially those selling unique items—mayonly accept cash payments.
In this case, you will findan ATM directly in the entrance area: immediately after the turnstile on the right-hand side.
What can I take with me?
You can bringbags, backpacks, and personal itemswith you without any problems.
Food and non-alcoholic beveragesare also permitted—please note thatglass bottles and glass containersare not allowed on the premises for safety reasons.
Strollers and walkersare of course permitted.
You are also welcome to bring seat cushions.
The following are not permitted, among other things:
- alcoholic beverages
- Weapons or weapon-like objects
- Hand trucks and transport trolleys
- Camping chairs or similar seating furniture
- Drones and motorized or rolling means of transportation
Bagswill be checked at the entrance.

Can I get to Kaltenberg without a car?
Yes—you can also come to Kaltenberg without a car.
The journey is easy bytrain via Geltendorf station(S-Bahn and regional train).
During the Kaltenberg Knight Tournament, shuttle busesoperate between Geltendorf train station and the event site for a fee – bothfor arrival and return journeys. Unfortunately, MVV and train tickets are not valid on this bus service.
Please note the following when planning your journey home:
Find outin advance about the departure times of the last S-Bahn or regional train, especially if you are leaving late or attending the Gauklernacht(juggler's night). The exactshuttle times and priceswill be posted on our website and on site in good time before the event.

With a ticket purchased online in advance, you are guaranteed admission and avoid waiting times at the box office.

Program on 5 stages
The program will also start at 12:00 noonthroughout the entire grounds.
Our Jugglers & Performers minstrels will entertain you on five live stages. A varied program is also offered at the market stalls and in the medieval camps. Encounter fantastic walk acts throughout the grounds and let yourself be enchanted by the magical atmosphere.

Gastronomy and market
The Kaltenberg Knight Tournament is a feast for all the senses. Of course, culinary delights are also an important part of the event. Everywhere you look, taverns and inns invite you to feast like in the Middle Ages with their generously filled jugs, pots, and pans. Numerous market stalls also provide plenty of food and drink.

Parade
The big Parade starts at 2:00 p.m.
Our artists and performers from our medieval camps Parade themselves at our atmospheric Parade : you can see knights in their armor, but also country folk, Celts, and barbarians in their elaborate and detailed costumes. The parade is led by the incomparable and unmistakable fool Wandelbar.

Knights' tournament show
At 4:00 p.m., the grand jousting tournament show begins in the arena— the exciting highlight of Family Sunday. As the arena fills and the first riders enter, the excitement builds from scene to scene. Speed, dynamism, and clear, gripping drama immediately draw young and old alike into the action.
Horse riding, combat, music, and impressive special effects blend seamlessly to create a show full of energy and emotion. Brave knights, fast-paced rides, and powerful duels thrill and amaze children in particular. With action and movement setting the pace, every scene is palpable—exciting, lively, and unforgettable for the whole family.

children's tournament
Immediately after the jousting tournament show, the arena belongs to the youngest visitors: inthebigchildren's tournament, little squires can immerse themselves in adventure. With courage, skill, and a dose of enthusiasm, they take on playful challenges—accompanied by the applause of the whole family.
At the end, the most beautiful moment of the day awaits: the ceremonial knighting. A moment full of pride, shining eyes, and unforgettable memories.

Program until 8:30 p.m.
When the last applause has faded away in the arena, Family Sunday comes to an atmospheric close: musicians, Jugglers & Performers camp groups continue to fill Kaltenberg Castle with life, laughter, and encounters. Children rediscover their favorite places, while parents relax together in taverns and pubs.
In a warm, summery atmosphere, the grounds invite visitors to linger and enjoy the special atmosphere—before the program officially ends at8:30 p.m.
