The Arthur Trilogy comes to Kaltenberg
2010 - 2012

This July, part one of the spectacular Arthur Trilogy will be presented in Kaltenberg. For the first time, the show will also take place in the market fair and artists' camps. New characters, costumes and coats of arms from all over Europe will fill the grounds around Kaltenberg Castle.

The extravagant production of the Arthur Trilogy begins this year with "Battle for the Kingdom." Roman Roell, playing the legendary wizard Merlin, will lead us through the three-part story and present the Knights of the Round Table. Just after his marriage to the beautiful Guinevere, King Arthur must defend himself against attacks in Burgundy. While he is away, the Knight Lancelot and Queen Guinevere fall in love with each other. When Mordred is expelled from the Knights of the Round Table, he joins ranks with the sorceress Morgana, who seeks revenge for her unrequited love of her half-brother Arthur. They plan to use the affair between Lancelot and Guinevere as a pretext for their evil plan to gain the throne for themselves.

To save Guinevere's life, Merlin must use his magical powers to fight Morgana. A knights' tournament is to decide Guinevere's fate, bring to light which Knights of the Round Table are still loyal, and determine who has the right to the throne. Mordred or Arthur - who will reign the kingdom?
