Experience a day at the Kaltenberg Jousting Tournament

The Kaltenberg Jousting Tournament is much more than just a knights’ spectacle.  Behind the castle gates an extensive market and encampment is awaiting you.  See traditional handmade art in more than 100 artisan workshops and miander through the colourful market stalls and carefully set up encampment. The culinary  variety will still your hunger and the home-brewed  royal beer quence your thirst. You will be bewitched by medieval entertainers, including juglers, musicians, acrobats and sword artists on stages throughout the grounds and  transported  back into medieval times. It’s worth coming early, so you can enjoy the whole programme, both before and after the arena show!

Enjoy an  evening with friends under flickering torches, or a day out with the whole family, where the little ones will have lots of fun too – whether an evening or daytime event, you have the choice!  And that on all three event weekends.

Arena Show

At this year’s tournament, we will be accompanying Mordred, the Black Knight on his adventurous journey through  the Orient. Will King Arthur be able to stop the evil powers?  Experience the second part of the Arthur-Trilogy , where the fight between good and evil will  have to be decided all over again.

BAYERN-3 Children’s Tournament

Now it’s time for our little heroes to enter the arena! The show-jumping course is a lot of fun, and successful completion could mean being knighted in the royal lodge!  The BAYERN-3 Children’s Tournament is right after every daytime arena show.  So come and take part, all you little would-be knights!
